I know, it's been a long time...

But I guess I feel like not all that much super exciting has been happening in my life. Just work and hardly any play. But it's nice to be able to afford things, now.

Anyway.... Two weekends ago was Jennifer's grad party. It was a good time, I was having fun shocking the ladies there. I grew up and I don't think most of the noticed. So now that I am an old married lady I feel like I can pretty much say anything and not have to feel like I'm just some naughty college kid who was doing things they shouldn't have when they weren't married. Haha. It's pretty fun. I don't think that most of them realized what I could be like. That was Saturday. Friday night we went to Tobies with my mom and she had a couple of Colorado Bulldogs (!). Then we went to the cafe to have something to eat. I refused to leave town without her eating anything. She needs some meat on those bones of her. Not that I'd wish my issue on anyone, but she needs some.

Sunday we went to Peggy and Rick's, and saw how the building is going in Alissa's house. It's going to be a fantastic (and huge) house. I said that I was jealous, and Peggy was like, "But you're not jealous of the payment - it's a lot!" And I said, "No, I'm just jealous of having a house, any house. Some place you can do whatever you want with out having to ask permission first." No. I'm not jealous of Alissa's house. Even though I think a better word would be 'envious'. Then we went home, and Dave and Brenda and Scott stopped by, they visited for a little while, then we grilled steaks and had a romaine lettuce and mandarin orange and feta cheese and craisin and walnut salad with raspberry vinagrette (even though I like creamy poppyseed dressing better) and grilled steaks. Nummers. Tyler irked me because that morning he was like, 'I have to make it to Mora some time today' and we didn't even eat until like, 4. He seemed like he was grudgingly spending time with his family on Mother's day. When he wanted to go hang out with this 19 year old girl with a kid. Ptch. The drive home was uneventful even with kittens crawling everywhere.

This past weekend was Microbrew Fest, Shaun's 3rd favorite holiday. It's a 6.5 hour drive for us now. :( Luckily I got yesterday off, so we could drive back then instead of Sunday after MBF. (I mean, God forbid we leave it early!!) Haha. Anyway, that was fun. We brought the cats (I don't trust them alone for 3 days) and at first they disliked Callie, which was shocking, because she is less hyper than Spook. We think it was because she was scared of them while Spook wasn't. Funny story: Cora really disliked her, so Shaun held her up to Callie for her to smell. Cora was curled into a little ball and growling away. Then all of a sudden she started spitting and batted at Callie (remember, no claws) who promptly dropped to the floor and whimpered like she was clawed to death. It was pretty hilarious.

On our way back yesterday we stopped at Acoustic to have lunch. They were (OF COURSE) out of pita pockets, so I called my former co-worker Ben and we decided to have lunch @ Quizno's in Menomonie. It was good catching up with him. Then when we got home we went to see the DaVinci Code. It was pretty good. And that's my life up until now. :) See, pretty boring, eh?
