The Day

Got up just as Shaun was walking out the door. I looked at our garbage can (Alissa warned us that the neighbors steal the good ones with a lid, which is what we have) and it was ours. I forgot about it until after the garbage man left, and there was a GREEN RUBBERMAID one (ours are blue with wheels) that was completely dissimilar (NO WHEELS!) lying where ours was just a half an hour ago. Which means that my sneaky bastard neighbors did the 'ol changeroo. I went out immediately and snagged one with a lid and stuck it in the garage right away. Haha. Take that sneaky bastard neighbor(s). I just feel bad for whomever gets stuck with the crappy one. Hopefully it is the person that did the changeroo so that I don't have to feel bad. Now I have to put something on our garbage can to tell it from the rest...

I picked up a lot of stuff and sent the remainder of my clothing through the dryer today to fluff it up since it's been in a bag for over a month and to get rid of the cigarette smoke smell. I was too lazy to wash the blankets, though. But Shaun'll be here in 10 minutes anyway. He can tell me how much laundry soap to use since they're high efficiency machines and I have NO idea.

I walked from here to the Wedding Shoppe today. Took me two hours to walk there, wander through a few stores, and walk back. About 5 miles of walking. I forgot it was Halloween today. The little kids wandering around on Summit were super cute. But the ones on Grand on Saturday were cuter! :) I was semi-freaked out walking back though since I was all by myself and I was carrying my purse and Blockbuster bag. (6.09 for a rental and bottle of water?!?! Ridiculous.) But I made it back safe and sound and completley pooped. But for your viewing enjoyment, some pictures I took today:

Cassie and Cora

Shaun was visiting Rob at his place in Isanti a couple of weeks ago, and as they were turning off of 65 onto Rob's road they saw something gray and fuzzy in the turning lane. "Squirrels!" said Rob. "No, KITTENS!" said Shaun. "Damn, we're going to have to go back now, aren't we?" So they turned back and rescued the kittens. They then called me to ask me how to care for them. As in, "What do they eat?" and, "Can we give them a bath?" Haha. So when Shaun came up to Hinckley with them (Rob didn't want to keep once since they grow up and become un-cute) we fed them and brought them out to Peggy's house. They stayed outside the first night but have been inside ever since then, even though Peggy insisted that they were going to be outside kitties. But Peggy cannot have any more indoor cats, and since they might be feline leukemia positive (the test in Hinckley came up positive and the one in Askov negative) they cannot really be outdoor kitties. So... we get to have them in Alissa's place! And with no further ado, here are the cutie patooties.
Cassie! The miss priss! They went to the Vet's on this day so
she's not feeling so hot from her shots.

Cora! She's super playful.

Outdoor pictures...

It was beautiful out the other morning, so I had to take pictures...

The Party!

Cory, Jennifer and Shaun at the HC!

Last weekend was homecoming... we stayed the nights at Cory's place. Which was nice, until his roomate's twin brother and her best friend decided to get busy Friday night right beneath us and right next to Jennifer. Poor Jennifer. The parade was interesting. The cross country team dresses up in dresses every year and runs around. And we got to see mr. ex-boyfriend Troy riding around a barstool go-kart thing. Yay. But it was fun. We only drank Friday night. I had 40 oz. of Amaretto sour while playing circle of death while partying at Cory's. I was sick of them. Then we went out to the Waterfront, left there, got two slices of pizza at Jeff and Jim's (YUM! I didn't realize how much I missed that pizza!) and then walked back to Cory's. The pull out couch is what we slept on. We were lying there staring at our feet because they were higher than our heads. So we flipped around and slept that way. I am just happy that I fell asleep before the physical enjoyment sounds started. Even though Shaun was awake the whole time. Haha. Saturday we didn't drink hardly at all (just hot chocolate and vanilla McGillicudy's at the parade) and went to the football game. I saw Lisa Schickert and Bishop and I was so happy to talk to them!! We ate at Waterfront after the game and drank soda. We then went back to Cory's and crashed. There was no partying occuring that evening. Then we left at 9 to get home to see my Dad whom I haven't seen since June. Even though he was gone most of the day. Oh, well. I'll see him tomorrow, hopefully.

A new update is coming, I promise!

And it's even going to have pictures! I had to download a trial version of Photoshop Elements on Alissa's computer, but oh, well. It just seems like a pain in the buttocks to pull the computer out and plug the cable into my laptop. (notice my new location? ;-) )

SHAUN GOT A JOB!

Thank GOD! It's at a place in Eden Prairie. So we'll be living in the south/southwest metro area soon! But first we're going to start out in Alissa's place (on Chestnut St) in St. Paul. Who knows, we might end up staying there if the rent vs. gas money makes it worthwhile. (Even though the commute will suck) Shaun's probably going to accept it Wednesday. I say probably because he has an interview on Tuesday for a place in Sioux Falls, SD. The only way he'd seriously entertain that place is if they offer better terms than this place. But we're so happy! Except that I might have to work at Target. That bums my ass off. Bleck. I hate doing slave labor, and it hardly pays for anything. Apparently, you get paid better at Burger Kind. H'mmmm... guess fast food isn't looking so bad after all...

Tomorrow is bridesmaid dress shopping! I'm so excited to hang out with the girls, especially Andrea! I haven't seen her since MAY!! I hate that. But now that I'm (probably) going to be living in the metro area I hope she can find some time in that busy schedule of hers for us to hang out! But at any rate we're hanging out next weekend at homecoming in Menomonie!! YAY!!!

Slow Motion - MEST

It's slow motion, ya got me trapped inside this world
It's slow motion, will somebody please press play
It's slow motion
It's slow motion

[VERSE:]
I'm so bored with life
Is it because I wanted you to be my wife
And now she's gone again
And I wonder if she'll ever be my girlfriend again
I think what can I do now
Sittin by my kitchen table wondering how
One second, life can be filled with so much emotion

[CHORUS:]
Ya got me trapped inside this world
It's slow motion, will somebody please press play
It's slow motion, ya got me trapped inside this world
It's slow motion, will somebody please press play

[VERSE:]
I wake up get out of bed
I feel like the walking dead
I take off my pants and wash my face
I'm safe again in the place I love to be
The unconscious world
Is the best world of all
With no real worry or fears at all

So once again, something hits me in the eye
It's the morning sun and
It's bringing me back to the place I don't want to be
I don't wanna be

[CHORUS:]
It's slow motion, ya got me trapped inside this world
It's slow motion, will somebody please press play
It's slow motion, ya got me trapped inside this world
It's slow motion, will somebody press play
Slow motion
Slow motion
Slow motion (Press play)
Slow motion

Kinda how my life feels right now. The days pass rapidly but not much changes.

Decided to go with Savvi Formalwear for tuxes, so Shaun and I are doing his groom's fitting Friday. The girls and I are unable to get together this weekend for bridesmaid dress shopping. I am REALLY starting to get worried about that! Maybe they'll all have to go seperately or something. We'll get it figured out at any rate. Maybe we'll go Sunday. Jen and Jennifer and I for sure. Andrea, maybe. There might be a Vikings game Sunday that Andrea has to work. We'll see. Hopefully not! Sheesh, am I running out of $$ though. But I don't want to get a job at the casino until I know if Shaun has to move back home and then is only available on weekends for pre-marital counseling. If so, I probably will be unable to get a job at the Casino since weekend hours are pretty much requisite. Bleck. Impossible, then. Oi. And neither one of us has a job so that we can even take out a loan to pay for this frigging wedding of ours. My mom has promised that she'd help us out with stuff, but I've never gotten an exact number and I feel HORRIBLY guilty everytime I ask for money that I want to cry. I can't wait for this to be over with. Yeesh.

I also really miss being able to post pictures! I'm only able to use public computers.

Shaun

Also, Shaun surprised me by showing up at my house Monday afternoon. It was awesome. I realized I missed him more than I thought. Then Alissa and I headed down to the cities yesterday, and Shaun went to Isanti. I called him to see where he was at to see if he wanted to go to the Muddy Pig with us and he was wandering around lost. He also said that he needed the internet to get more phone numbers and addresses so we told him to head over to Alissa's condo. He was here when we got done. It was nice to spend more time with him! We went to O'Gara's for snacks/supper. YUM! Then he left to go to Rob's. Rob took the day off today to hang out with Shaun so I hope that those guys have fun. (But not too much, if you catch my drift and know Rob, haha.) I hopefully will see him this weekend. He thought that he might come up to Hinckley to see me on Saturday night. So he can hang out with Rob a little bit more. Which kinda hurts my feelings, since I haven't seen him for a while. And he might be heading back to Plymouth to work at his dad's cheese plant if he can't find a different job. Yay. But at least I would see him on the weekends for pre-marital counseling.

Wedding stuff

Well, believe it or not, I actually found and purchased my wedding dress yesterday. And for a not bad price, either! It was a sample. I was trying to decide between three gorgeous gowns but the price swung me to this one. Which is cool. :) I can't put pictures up of it here since Shaun will look at this occasionally. I also don't have it in my hands yet since it is being cleaned and having some beadwork done. It was a sample dress. So that's why it has a great price. And that works, since rush ordering a dress doesn't sound like fun. Too iffy. Going to make my veil though. And have to buy some shoes still. Did I mention it was at the Wedding Shoppe? And Sarah*, we saw Nick as we were walking in. Kathy, the lady who helped me, asked us where we were from as we were walking up the stairs and when we said Hinckley, he turned and looked. Haha. But of course, he didn't recognize me.

All I need for my invitations is vellum, envelopes, and cardstock. It's getting down there! Oh... and more ribbon.

Alissa treated me to a pedicure yesterday! They're the softest they've ever been! And really pretty pink polish, too! :D

Today we're going to go to JoAnn Fabrics, Anchor Paper, and a couple of other places Alissa wants to go to. It's nice to be busy!

Thanks Alissa for all you've done for me!!
