So... my life feels like it's in standstill. Just sitting at home and trying to get everything there organized. It's difficult though with nowhere to put anything. All it does is sit there and take up space. Ugh.
I was supposed to go to Green Bay this weekend (Sorry I changed my plans, Polly!) but there was *so* much to get done at the place that I decided I'd better not. After hearing about the weekend, it sounds like the only thing I missed out on was visiting with Polly. And possibly Grandma Bliss.
I ended up getting our bedroom painted. I LOVE it. I want to add more to the cream wall, but Shaun's still not too sure about my ideas. I think it would be gorgeous, but who knows. I'd probably get really sorry I decided to do it because it'll probably be too labor intensive.
So Friday night for some entertainment I went to the mall and bought a shirt on clearance from Old Navy. Then I went home and read and put some more stuff away.
Saturday I picked up more stuff, organized it into 'storage' or 'stay' or 'garbage'. I ended up throwing the last of my wedding documentation away. It's sad, I worked so hard on that all and it just gets chucked into the garbage. But - no regrets. :) I also went to St. Paul that morning to clean the oven since Mom said that Alissa'd be spending the night Saturday since she was going to see a Toby Keith concert. Well, I get there, pull up the driveway, open the garage, and there was Alissa's car. Damn. I was hoping that Tony wasn't there too. I didn't want to wake them both up! So I snuck into the apartment and sat on the internet and hoped I wouldn't scare them too much. Well, it was just Alissa after all. I was there 20 mins - half hour and she got up. Before she walked into the living room I whispered, "Alissa". She said, "Holy (explective), Dana, you scared the (explective) out of me!" But it was cool, I cleaned her oven, got almost the last stuff out of there, and left. I went to the mall again that night (5 min drive = BAD) and bought a few more things @ Target, all on sale. Yep, that's me. The clearance shopper. Grand total for a shirt, underwear, and a camisole: $10. Got a lock for our storage room, too.
Sunday morning I called Mom since her and Dad were thinking of coming down and staying the night and then going to his eye doctor appointment Mon morning. I was feeling lonely. Well, Dad out-did himself Sat night for Grandpa's birthday, and didn't feel up to coming down. So, ok. I could deal. Shaun got home a little before 7, and we went to Ruby Tuesday's for supper since we still had no food to speak of in our apt.
Monday afternoon my parents came and we went to the mall for lunch and Dad had a Barnes and Noble's gift certificate, so we looked for books for him. I sold him on a couple. :) Then we went and had lunch at Baja Sol or something like that, then I got Shaun's V-day gift, then had to walk across the entire mall to get a bag and tissue for them @ Target. Yes. It is a crazy attached-to-the-mall Target. Then we went back to the apt and finally got my dresser did get together was wobbly, and that wouldn't work. Dad touched up the paint for me (he has sooo much more patience than me!) and when that dried I took off the painter's tape and showed them what the cats did when they had sticky stuff on them. I laughed so hard I cried. I still think the neigbors think I'm psychotic - I'm either yelling, "NO!!" or "OW!" or laughing hysterically. I really dislike kitten claws. So we made stuffed manicotti for supper (Dad was giving it the evil eye until he tasted it!) and Mom and I finished most of the organizing, and they left. THANK GOD she came!!! :)
Tonight we're going to the Cheesecake Factory for supper. It should be good. I have a feeling that, like usual, Shaun got my gift last minute. He told me he'd see me at lunch this morning, and I didn't even get a phone call, which is unusual unless it's Thursday.
I'm sitting in Panera Bread right now using their internet because the neighbors have either 1. gotten smart or 2. completely turned off their wireless. Because even if they HAD put a password on it, my computer would still detect the network and prompt me for a password. But it hasn't even been picking it up. So that's why I'm hardly on the internet. Panera might become my really expensive best friend. Unless I get smart and go to the public library here. Wonder if they're as cool as Hinckley and have wireless there? That would totally rock.
I think everything boils down to: I need a job. I have about 2 friends that live anywhere near me, and I hardly get to see them. I need something to do all day besides fight with cats. I NEED A LIFE. Andrea and I are going to a career fair tomorrow in Minneapolis, I need to get resumes printed (do I make them classic business or artsy?) and I need to figure out where to meet her! Sheesh. So much to do! :) Wish me luck!!

Hi friend. I think you and I should create some adventures while you are still free from the world of employment. :) I do birthdays, bachelorette parties, weddings and other various events. The best part is, I'm affordable. Ok, I'm very, very cheap, practically free. Let's hang out.
