Bad news

I'm saddened. I just found out that my great-uncle Bibs passed away at about 9 p.m. last night from cancer. My dad rushed home from by Yellowstone (he got home at about 7 last night) just so that he could see him before he passed but didn't get the chance.

And all of this makes me worried. I wonder how many more people in my family are going to be struck with this disease. And we never know what kind it's going to be. Or what age, for that matter. I now try to not go in the sun as much as I can, and once I get decent health coverage, I am going to go into the dermatologists and get my 'iffy' moles removed. Of the nine family members that have had it, five of them have survived it. Of those five, two passed away from complications of the cancer (treatment, etc).

Hopefully the worst is over. I just think about if this happens to my parents or brother... I'd seriously crack up. I don't know how I'd deal.

That is sad! :( I don't think you have to worry if you're cautious. It helps if you catch these things early and it seems like you are pretty precautionary. Don't worry!
