I know, I know and I'm sorry that it's been a while since I've updated. But until recently, it was the same 'ol, same 'ol. I was getting really sick of it, and I didn't want to bore my faithful readers (all 4 of you? ;-) ) with more "oh, I don't have a job, I suck so bad and feel so bad for myself.' BOOORING. But now, that's all changed!!!
I am now contracted to work for Microsoft through the temp agency for a year, with a possibility for the position to be extended. Which would be awesome. It's kinda funny, actually, because a lot of what I have been doing I haven't really had any personal experience with, which makes me nervous. REALLY nervous. But then I think about the fact that they wouldn't have hired me if they didn't think that I would be able to do it. So I just have to dedicate myself to paying attention and learning quickly. I was told that I really won't be feeling like I know a lot until 6-8 months into it. They hired me at the end of the interview. It was really shocking. I mean, I have gotten the blow-off from so many places, and then this place just hired me at the end of the interview...! Very unique, but it was also very nice because then I didn't have to sit and wonder. I H A T E that. There is a place I went to an interview at in FEBRUARY and still haven't heard back from them. Which, at this point, I am assuming is a no (haha), but it's just so frustrating. I know that when I interviewed people for possible hiring I never made them wait for too long and I always let them know yea or nay.
Tomorrow I'm going to go see Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat with Andrea. Our friend Ben from college is Joseph. It should be really cool to see. It was just frustrating because weeks ago she and I agreed that we'd go see the show on Sunday. I called and asked if she could come also since she had a voucher from a castmate. The lady I talked to said yes. Well, whomever Andrea talked to said she couldn't, and that the Sunday show is sold out. They created a Saturday at 2 show since the shows were selling out. We decided that we'd go to the Friday night show if possible, but if not go to the 2 o'clock show on Saturday. Well, of course it's Saturday, which wouldn't be so bad, but Cory is also having a get-together in Menomonie on Saturday. So that kinda threw a wrench in the works. But it'll all work out. :) I cannot WAIT for El Patio for supper, though!!!!
