La di da di o day!

Thursday I went to the dentist, and found out I have gingivitis. I always thought that I had sensitive gums; my old dentist and dental hygenist never told me the reason why my gums bled. That is gingivitis. So now I am a dedicated twice daily brusher and flosser and mouthwasher. This may be too much info for all of you, but I guess I feel like it's cool because I am taking control of this part of my life - and if I can do it with my mouth, why not the rest of me? Haha.

I found out Friday morning that I did not get the position with the staffing company. They decided to go with the other guy they interviewed because he had more experience. Well, how the HECK do you get experience if no one is willing to give it to you? ESPECIALLY for an entry-level position?!!? Anyway, I was told about a possible position with Frito-Lay. The position is as an administrative assistant to a group of 7-9 people. It would start out in Bloomington then move to downtown Minneapolis (eek!). It would end in October, but then probably turn into a permanent position.

We went to Plymouth this weekend to show everyone the wedding pictures. We stopped in De Pere (Green Bay; I got to see Lambeau Field as a drive-by) to show Shaun's aunt Polly. Her dog Liddy was scared of us but then she warmed up. :) It was the first time I've seen her, she sure is a cutie! (But sorry, I have to remain loyal to Callie and say she's cuter, haha) So now I have a list of pics that Polly wants. Then we drove down to Benson's for fish fry with Shaun's parents (my in-laws!), his aunt and uncle Sarah and Steve and his cousins Emma and Travis, and the Mohrs, Ron, Denise, their daughter Misse and her fiancee Aaron, and their grandson Chase. It was nice to see everyone! Then we went to the Mohr's afterward where pretty much everyone but me had homebrew, and the ladies all sat around and looked at pictures and the guys were downstairs drinking and chatting. Then Sherry and John and one of their boys came over. It was a good time.

Saturday we went to Sheboygan. I HAD to go to Hobby Lobby it'd been so long. I wanted to buy some paper for the cute patterns on them but NOOOOOO. But someone's getting themselves a $50 birthday present. Haha. That evening Grandma Sapala came over and looked at pictures. I looked at her feet and we have the same shoes!! Shaun told me that they were grandma shoes when I wanted to buy them, but I still don't care. I think they're cute! :) Then today on our way back we stopped and saw Grandma and Grandpa Bliss. It was nice to see them again, too, and Grandma Bliss made us some muy delicioso soup. They also looked at wedding pictures and I got Grandma B's list now too. :) Wherever that ended up. Probably in the picture bag.

Tonight Shaun got his new computer that he built working, so now he's happy. I'm nervous about tomorrow; I have to go to the temp agency and do an intermediate excel test and then go to my interview at 10. Where, I have no idea. And that makes me even more nervous. Yikes. I hate not knowing where I'm going, especially when driving by myself.

I have a new cell phone and number, I'll be sending out and e-mail with that and my new address soon. :) Take care, all!

Good luck with your gum disease.

Sorry to hear about the staffing company. Personally, I'd rather see you doing something art related (which I'm sure you'd rather be doing as well)...so maybe it's a sign that something with that will come along??

Sounds like Wisconsin was a ton of fun. It's also great that you are close with Shaun's family that way. You guys remind me of Meet The Parents.

HAHA! over the grandma shoes! I've been told the same thing and then saw a 50+ year old woman wearing my shoes! Hey! Retro is totally in!

So good luck with your job hunting, friend. I know something is waiting for you! :)
